Why it worked
This video works because it leverages the 'POV' trend, combined with the relatable desire for creators to use their own voice/talent. The on-screen lyrics make it engaging and easy to follow, while the creator's expressive performance adds authenticity. The use of a popular, traditional folk song also taps into cultural resonance, increasing shareability and watch time.
