Art Instagram video that did 1128× its author's usual

In 2017, French performance artist Abraham Poincheval carried out one of his most extreme endurance works by living inside a massive limestone rock for an entire week. The stone was installed at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, hollowed just enough to fit his body, then sealed shut with him inside. Once enclosed, Poincheval had no ability to stand, stretch, or see the outside world. Visitors walking through the museum couldn’t see him at all. They were faced only with a large, silent rock, knowing a living human being was inside it. That invisible presence was the point. Poincheval became part of the object itself, blurring the line between human and environment, observer and observed.
